Sharma Elected as Youngest Central Executive Member of NGO Federation of Nepal
Shiv Prasad Sharma, the Executive Director of Frontline Nepal, has been elected as a Central Committee Member of the NGO Federation of Nepal (NFN), the umbrella organization representing national non-governmental organizations across the country. At just 38 years old, Sharma is currently the youngest member of the Central Executive Board, marking a significant milestone in the evolving leadership of Nepal's civil society sector.
Sharma, who is also the founding chairperson of Frontline Nepal, brings over a decade of grassroots leadership and organizational experience to his new national role. His election reflects not only his unwavering commitment to the social development sector but also the growing recognition of youth leadership in shaping Nepal's civic and developmental future.
Prior to this national appointment, Mr. Sharma had a progressive leadership journey within NFN: Secretary of NFN Parbat District Branch (2013–2017), Chairperson of NFN Parbat (2017–2021), and Secretary of NFN Gandaki Province (2021–2025).
In recognition of his dynamic involvement and vision for innovation, Mr. Sharma has also been entrusted to lead the Youth and Innovation Central Department of NFN as its Coordinator.
Speaking after his election, Sharma expressed his gratitude to the member organizations and colleagues for their trust and support. "This is not just a personal achievement," he remarked, "but a collective step forward in empowering youth leadership and innovation in Nepal's NGO movement."
